The weather’s warming in Grand Park!

Spring is turning into summer here in Grand Park, just in time for Labor Day! The snow is melting in Grand Park and the Fraser Valley, though the surrounding peaks of the Colorado Rockies are still capped in snow.

Plants are beginning to bloom, and wildlife sightings are on the rise, such as the geese and ducks currently taking up residence in Grand Park’s meadows and ponds.

Several bald eagles just recently visited Grand Park as well!

The disc golf course is open in Grand Park once again, with the grass just beginning to grow green in the meadows of our open spaces.

Grand Park’s ponds have thawed out as well, and after spending the past several months under the ice, those trout are hungry. Another season of fly-fishing for trophy rainbows, cutbows, and palomino trout is upon us!

The trails that have been so popular for cross-country skiing in the winter months are now clear of snow. Grand Park residents are often found on the trails, enjoying a leisurely walk or even a nice bike ride.

Grand Park’s trails also provide the perfect pedestrian adventure from our neighborhoods to The Village at Grand Park. Some of the area’s best shopping, dining, and entertainment is an easy stroll down the trail from our beautiful mountain homes!

With more good weather in the Grand Park area comes more big events planned as well. Grand Park will be co-hosting a stop on the Ride The Rockies bike tour, coming up soon on June 8. The Grand Classic Golf Tournament is right around the corner as well, coming up June 13-14.
