Winter Park Wipe Out a Wild Success

You never know what you’re going to find in this area. Anyone not familiar with the annual fundraiser, Winter Park Wipe Out would have assumed the entire town had gone mad.

Winter Park Wipe Out

People dressed in bizarre and colorful costumes were running enthusiastically through Winter Park and Fraser, cheering, screaming, and bouncing around from challenge to challenge to collect party beads. What seamed like complete mayhem was actually an extremely organized annual event put on by the Rotary Club of Winter Park–Fraser Valley.

Challenges opened at 2pm and stretched from Cooper Square to the Grand Park Community Rec. Center. The challenges this year included, giant jenga, a pancake eating contest, life-size hungry-hungry hippos, a human pyramid, BINGO, slack lining, zorb reverse dodge ball, snowball slingshots, and many more!

Once the challenges were completed, all the teams reunited at the Colorado Adventure Park tubing hill where they enjoyed free tubing, drinks, hot cocoa, s’mores, a raffle, and an ENORMOUS bonfire!

The day was a ton of fun and a complete success, raising thousands of dollars for the nonprofit, Headwaters Trails Alliance to help them develop trails connecting community spaces throughout Grand County.

This was the third year the Rotary Club hosted Winter Park Wipe out and judging from it’s continued success, this won’t be the last!
