Hot Springs Near Winter Park

Not only does Winter Park, CO offer a ton of fun-filled activities for the whole family, it’s close to many other attractions as well. One of the biggest draws to Colorado is the wealth of natural hot springs and the serene resorts and spas that have sprung up around them. Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa

Just 42 minutes northwest of Winter Park is the aptly named town of Hot Sulphur Springs. The major draw is, of course, the Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa packed full of amenities and relaxing treatments. The resort features 21 untreated mineral pools, with 4 of those being infant and toddler-friendly. There are even private mineral baths for adults available by the hour! Admission rates for the outdoor pools are as follows:

  • Adults (12+)- $20
  • Children (0-2)- FREE (4 pools only)
  • Children (3-11)- $12.50
  • 2 Day Pass (Consecutive)- $30.50
  • Combo Pass- $30.50

Private pools are available to adults only, at a rate of $20 per hour. Residents of Grand Park might find themselves interested in an annual pass to enjoy the relaxation of the rich mineral springs. Here are the yearly pass rates and options:

  • Family (2 Adults/ 3 Children)- $625

The pools are open year-round, from 8 am- 10:00 pm.

Strawberry Park Hot Springs

Just two hours away from Winter Park via the US-40E is Strawberry Park Hot Springs, a relaxing outdoor mineral spring park just outside of Steamboat Springs, CO. Strawberry Park Hot Springs features 104-degree mineral springs surrounded by peaceful forests. If you want to up the relaxation factor, the park also features private massage huts and watsu therapy in a private pool! The hot springs are open year round, with some requirements.

Through November 1- May 1st, 4-wheel drive with snow tires/ chains are required to enjoy the park. Also, no pets are allowed.

One of the unique features of this all-natural outdoor hot spring is that after certain hours, only adults may enjoy the pools. Youth under the age of 18 may only enjoy the springs during daylight hours. Once it is dark, only adults are admitted. Here are the hours of operation year-round:

  • Sunday- Thursday- 10am-10:30pm- no entry after 9:30pm.
  • Friday-Saturday- 10am-12am- no entry after 10:30pm.

Admission isn’t too bad either! Only cash or check is accepted at the springs, no credit cards.

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs

Iron Mountain Hot Springs is nestled along the Colorado River approximately 2 and a half hours west of Winter Park via the US 77. A charming resort awaits your visit, with a delicious cafe and 16 mineral hot springs to enjoy. Nearby Mt. Sopris makes for a gorgeous view, and your kids can enjoy the freshwater family pool within easy view of the hot springs whirlpool. This amenity makes it easy to plan a day trip for the whole family!

Seasonal passes are available during the non-peak season, which is October 29- May 10, and annual passes are available year round. Here are the rates for each!
